An expert is a person who has a special skill or knowledge in some particular field; specialist; authority.

There are many ways someone could qualify as an expert.   Much of it depends on the subject.  Experience, certifications, education, and awards are a great place to start.  Some of our productions will require very specific qualifications.  An expert for "How to Prevent Skin Cancer" would need to be a doctor, with education and experience to back their expertise.  We avoid using students, however we much prefer the person who teaches the class.

While we realize that many potential experts may not have previous on-camera experience, we will want you to express yourself in a professional and confident manner.

An expert with previous on-camera experience is great, but there are other things that will translate well to being on camera.  Leading workshops or teaching classes is the kind of experience that lends itself well to being on-camera talent.
